Premises ID Fact or Fiction. Protect your children from being used. 1) You do NOT have to register your premises, there is NO July 1 deadline, and there is a good possibility that there will NEVER be a requirement to register one's premises. 2) Various businesses and organizations have been telling people otherwise, getting folks to sign up for premises registration based on wrong information. 3) We don't know why these businesses and organizations are acting this way. Perhaps they have not check the facts, or are they purposefully being misleading for some reason? 4) We do know that TAHC has contracted with some organizations, which in turn may have unknown subcontractors, to get people to sign up, promote and advocate premises registration. 5) We want everyone to know the TRUTH. If you registered your premises because you were told you had to, or because you were told that you would have to pay a fee if you waited, it was NOT TRUE. 6) Be sure to alert your 4H and FFA students not to discuss your property ownership information/status to ANYONE at school, 4H or FFA meetings. 7) We recommend that you contact your children's 4H and FFA leaders/teachers. Warn them that you will not tolerate your children participating in any premises ID/ animal tagging or tacking "out reach" programs, education or demonstration. Do not allow your children to be used.
